I’m taking at least a week off before starting the next draft of my Liminal Horror Twisted Classics Jam adventure. I’ll still be writing the separate funnel adventure and doing my #morningpages, but I will also focus on refining the sketches I’ve done in breaks during my writing sessions.
Seeks to gain photo/video evidence of the [redacted] and conduct interviews.
What’s my setting like? The movie What’s Eating Gilbert Grape (I drew the map weeks ago but rewatched it yesterday to comfort myself and added it to my appendix N).
I would like to share a quote from Emil Cioran on revising your work and knowing when you’re finished:
“Whatever determines the degree to which a work is done is not a requirement of art or truth, it is exhaustion and, even more, disgust.”
If you’re nervous about the jam, don’t be. You only need to write three basic parts: a problem, a horrific thing, and obstacles.
Have a great summer. We’re all gonna make it!
